The Danube Delta is an expansive wildlife refuge counting bird varieties in the thousands. Cormorants, swans, pelicans, ducks, and herons are most prevalent. Visitors have varied boat services available to explore the Delta from the city of Tulcea and can find pension lodgings in several remote fishing villages. Nesting chicks (rt).
