These methods were adapted, I was told, from building huge grain silos. This is not something I had seen anywhere else. The walls 10-12 stories high go up first. The floors next. The detail is casual at best. It all looks extremely precarious but these building survived the severe earthquake of 1977 that did enormous damage in other parts of Bucharest. One benefit of this method: crude techniques with quick results.
