There is always something unusual to find as one travels the roads of Romania:

(1) Turnu-Severin – World War One monument with Roman soldier holding a flame aloft next to a WW-I soldier, (2) Rasnov – Animal skull displayed in the medieval citadel, (3) Shepherd’s dog, (4) Water being heated to make mamaliga in shepherd’s camp, (5) Rasnov – Giant Easter Egg in central square, (6) Plastic ‘chef’ at Tropical Hotel in Turnu-Severin, (7) Bran – Grilled food specialities at the Inn on Balaban
