Charcoal is still made in the same manner as it was for millennia. The wood is gathered, cut to size, stacked, covered and allowed to burn for four-to-seven days. This is a family business with all members and hired hands working together.

The location is along the Dambovita River in Dragoslavele (Arges County) in the Carpathian Mountains
