The Honorary Consul, Dan Dimancescu, was a guest at the dedication of a statue of Sir Winston Churchill (1874-1963). The ceremony was held at the US Capitol attended by all senior US political leaders and an audience of 300-400. The Honorary Consul’s father was a friend of the Churchill family during his diplomatic service in England, WW-II work with British Intelligence, and later during post-Communist exile in Morocco.
