Plexus Corp. Expands in Oradea, Romania

Thee Neenah-based contract electronics manufacturer (Milwaukee, Wisconsin) said it has signed an agreement with the municipality of Oradea for the development of a 160,000- to 215,000-square-foot plant on 22 acres in the city’s newly established industrial park. The project is expected to cost $25 million to $30 million.

Construction is expected to begin in 2011. Plexus expects to
grow to about 500 employees in Oradea after the new plant is fully operational. The factory will service growing demand from European customers.
