Isabela Beteringhe Violinist – Bucharest, Romania

Cristina Isabela Beteringhe, 20 years old and born in Tulcea, started her career as a violinist at the age of 6, attending the Ploiesti Art School and also the Mary Erskine School, Edinburgh. Her experience spans a period of fourteen years including participation in national contests such as “George Georgescu”, “ Columna”, “George Enescu”, the National Music Academy and others.

One of her most important achievements is winning the “Constantin Silvestri” scholarship contest. In November 2002, Cristina played at the Founder’s Day Concert – at Mary Erskine School – in the presence of HRH The Princess Royal. In March 2003, she played Bach’s Double Concerto for two violins at the Usher Hall, Edinburgh, during Erskine Stewart’s Melville Concert. In June 2005, Cristina played Mozart’s A Major Concerto accompanied by the Philharmonic Orchestra in Ploiesti, Romania.

Cristina has been accepted in June 2004 and 2005 at the North Netherlands Conservatory in Groningen, Holland, and is currently enrolled as a first year student at the Bucharest Music Academy.
