Renault builds EUR 500 million design center in Romania

Car maker Renault will invest EUR 500 million in a center for designing and developing new car models in Romania, said the vice president of Automobile Dacia, Constantin Stroe. The location of the new center was not disclosed. The project will be built on a 500 – hectare plot. The center will design and develop new generation Renault models which will be manufactured at the group’s factories in six countries, Romania included. Construction works will start this month and will end in 2008, when the center will be fully operational. The center will employ almost 3,000 people.
