Aurel Jiquidi (1896-1962) – An artist of widely respected talent, he used his creative skills to make social commentaries appropriate to times of economic and political flux in the first half of the 20th century. He was also an accomplished portrait painter as seen in his Bucharest studio in the 1930s.
