All major international airlines connect to Bucharest. International service is available to secondary airports at Timisoara, Sibiu, Bacau, and other cities. All major car rental companies are present; local company rentals should be used only with guarantees of full insurance coverage.


Major international hotels chains are present in Bucharest and business-quality hotels in all major cities. Pensions and small hotels are available nationwide with varying degrees of quality.


For cash ATM’s are most convenient. Currency exchange is best transacted in banks (not at the airport).
